What are Clean Beauty Products?

Did you know that being beautiful and comfortable in your skin can be achieved without negative consequences?

If you don’t know this, then welcome to marianhanna.com. This site was created to share knowledge on the subject of clean beauty, so, we encourage you to share and interact with us.

When the subject of clean beauty began to gain ground, it was difficult to define clean beauty. If you wanted to define clean beauty, you could never arrive at a clear and concise definition. There were too many definitions, and almost everyone seemed to have an opinion about clean beauty. What did all of these many definitions cause? They raised several confusing specks of dust that made the practice of clean beauty seem unattainable.

Despite the difficulty, we remained resolute on clean beauty because we believe that everyone should be allowed to take care of their bodies without having to bother about any negative consequence. As we have gained more knowledge of clean beauty, we have seen that it is a simple but very effective practice. If you want to know the truth about clean beauty and you want to know how you can benefit from it, we advise that you first drop your preconceived notions about clean beauty as we embark on this journey together.

What are clean products?

A product qualifies as a clean product if the product is sustainable, i.e., the product has only positive effects on the body of its user and the environment. A clean product is produced from safe production practices that allow man to utilize nature’s resources without depleting the environment.

What are clean skincare products?

Clean skincare products are self-care products formulated from non-toxic ingredients. These products are used to cleanse, freshen, soften, hydrate, and nourish the body in many ways. Clean skincare products do not have any toxic effects on the users over time and the environment. Unfortunately, the profit-oriented self-care products industry is guilty of allowing the use of toxic ingredients in the production of most skin care products available on the market. These products with poisonous ingredients have adverse long term effects on their users and the environment.

What are clean beauty brands?

Clean beauty brands are a select few brands known to manufacture clean skincare products. Clean beauty brands stand out differently in the self-care products industry because they ensure that the ingredients used for their products are non-toxic and are sourced from the best natural sources. Clean beauty brands also use recyclable or biodegradable packaging for their products.

Where to buy clean beauty products?

Clean beauty products are best sourced from brands that adhere to strict standards of sustainable practice in the production of beauty products. Since industry regulations are scant, it is quite challenging to separate the clean beauty brands from others. In Marian Hanna’s Clean Beauty quest to distinguish between clean beauty and others, we discovered the Environmental Working Group (EWG). The EWG is an expert organization known to provide safety information on ingredients. If you’re unsure of an ingredient in your product, please search the EWG Skin Deep Database to protect yourself from possibly harmful chemicals in your personal care products.

As a buyer, you should educate yourself regularly about common toxic ingredients used in the manufacturing of self-care products. Any beauty product that contains parabens, phthalates, triclosan, artificial coloring, and fragrances, are not clean beauty products.
